Chief Minister announced a Sixth member’s team of MLA to visit Garo Hills to appeal for peace

 

Shillong, Jube 26: The  Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma today convince the meeting of all MLA’s  from Garo Hills to discuss the low and order situation Garo Hills, the meeting lasted for more than two house in the secretariat.

After the meeting  the  Chief minister inform that in the meeting they have form a sixth members team comprising of the MLA from Garo Hills to visit different part of  Garo Hills to instill the confidence in the mind of the people  and to appeal to the people to maintained peace.

To bring back normalcy in the Goro Hills region the meeting has also decided that  an interfaith forum will be form along with the district administration to appeal to the people to maintain peace and normalcy should  prevail.

The meeting appeals to all section of People not to paid any attention to rumors spread by vested interest to disestablished peace and tranquility. The meeting condemns the senseless killing of the innocent people.

At the same time the meeting has decided that the government has to take measure in curtailing social media who tried instigating. The government has taken action Fir has been file and many people has pick up but what most important at this juncture is to curtail law and order than putting time in arresting people.

When asked why the government is taking time in convincing such meeting, the chief minister reply “That is your view not our view”.  The chief minister also informs that he ha sent two ministers to Garo Hills to take stock of the situation.

The Chief Minister said what most important is to discuss with his counter part in Assam asking them to take appropriate measure so that peace and tranquility is maintained in the border   between Assam and Meghalaya.

Among the MLA who attend the meeting are James K Sangma (NPP) Saleng A Sangma, Clifort Marak (GNC) Debora Marak m the Home Minister Roshan Warjri and many more MLA from Garo Hills.(SP News)
