Shillong, Dec 12: Today at around 5.30 am, while one labourer identified Jirmal Boro was working in a coal mine belonging to Shri Weibor Dkhar at Maibon under Umpleng AD Camp of the East Jaintia Hills District the coal mine collapsed and die on the spot.
The police of East Jaintia Hills District made necessary formalities and the matter is under inquiry. Recently four labourers die in anthers coal mine at Briwar.
In a separate incident Leroy Ch. Sangma lodged a complaint at Laban police station that on Oct. 29 he gave his motorcycle (ML-07A-0100) to one Tinku M. Sangma known as Asterline M. Sangma, who failed to return the same.
Today the police recover the motorcycle from the possession of Tinku M. Sangma at Baghmara South Garo Hills District with fake registration number (ML-07-9109). Police arrested the accused.(SP News)
