Shillong, May 14: South West Garo Hills Deputy commissioners, Ram Singh on Wednesday held a meeting in his chamber with the heads of line departments to review the situation And extent of damages incurred in the recent cyclonic storms in parts of the district.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned heads of offices to submit detailed reports of the damages to households, livestock and plantation for necessary relief measures and also asked them to immediately inform the matter to him whenever any natural calamity occurs in future.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner incharge Disaster Management, Ampati, Mary T. Sangma and district heads of line departmentscamongst others.(SP News)
