Deputy CM release 27 ambulance for NHRM

Shillong November 12: Twenty seven ambulances sanctioned under the National Rural Health Mission was launched by the Deputy chief Minister  incharge of Health and family welfare Rowell Lyngdoh at the Health Complex, Laitumkhrah on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion Rowell Lyngdoh, who also holds Health portfolio, hoped that new ambulances will boost healthcare system in rural areas of Meghalaya. He said health care system in rural areas needs proper attention.

Terming the sanctioning of ambulances by the Centre as the nations commitment to the crucial health sector, he said ambulances would be given to the rural Public Health centres (PHCs). The Deputy Chief Minister called upon the people who are using to use judicious use of the ambulances by the people and especially the ancillary workers in the health sector.

The deputy chief minister Rowell Lyngdoh said the basic infrastructure in the rural health sector should be maintained with all the facilities so that the people are ultimately benefitted.

The programed was organized by the National Rural Health Mission, government of Meghalaya, the programed was attended by several senior government officials besides others.(SP News)
