Shillong, Oct 12: The Deputy Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly Sanbor Shullai,who is also the state president of the NCP demand from the home minister that people who are involved in trowing petrol bomb at the Puja Pandal at Umsning should be caught and punished.
In the press statement said that “I and on behalf of the people of our state strongly condemns the uncivilizedact of trying to torch the Puja Panda1 at Umsning, Ri Bhoi District by the people who have crossed the heights of idiotism. This is purely the act of acoward and the miscreants involved should be punished so that such acts are not eventhought off in future.
Such people should be kept in the jungles and should not be allowed to live in our society. Trespassing into anybody religious sentiments is unacceptable. India is a secular country and neither any religion teaches us to harm others or disrespect their religious belief. Apart from the people of this state and the Law of the land, even God will never forgive such people and these criminals should be punished both by the Law and God Himself.
“I would like to demand from the Home Minister that the Police, CID, SIB and otheragencies at her discretion be pressed into action with full force and dedication so thatthe criminals or the ones who are instigating these criminals be kept behind barsforever, immediately.
These entire incidence have spoiled the name and reputation of our state Big time and no one, I mean no one should be allowed to tarnish the image of ourBeloved state “Meghalaya”. (SP News)
