Shillong, July 01: The present of Pranab Mukherjee today announce that former Delhi Police Commissioner Dr Krishan Kant Paul IPS is appointed as the new governor of Meghalaya replacing Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary.
Dr. Krishan Kant Paul joined IPS in 1970, since he is from the cadre of the Union Territory he was posted at Adman and Nicobar Island, he was also the chief of police of Arunachal Pradesh and retired as the Delhi police commissioner.
The term of the outgoing governor of Meghalaya end today and the governor designate will take oath of office in the next few days.(SP News)
