Shillong, March 10: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma will seek the confidence motion tomorrow in the floor of the House to proof his majority. This vote of confidence is to fulfill the constitutional obligation.
At the same time the Assembly tomorrow will felicitate the new speaker Mr AT Mandal who has been elected un opposed after the nomination of the HSPDP candidate Mr Ardent Basaiawmoit was rejected for not fulfilling the criteria as required for nomination for the speaker post.
At the same time the Congress party has directed all its MLA’s to be present in the floor of the house during the vote of confidence that the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will seek his vote of fonfidence in the floor of the house.(SP News)
