Shillong, Nov 11: The company construction in Garo Hills starting to fleeing the area due to demand not they received from militant outfit operating in the area.
The Chief Engineer Public Work department, C W Momin said that there is one company doing the construction work on the road from Williamnagar to Tura has abandoned their construction work due the demand from the militant group.
Speaking to SP News Agency, Mr Momin said that the department has received verbal information but till date they have not got anything on writing. He admits that the construction work in Garo Hills has been badly affected due to militancy problems.
Mr Monin said that so far only one company who inform the department they have to stop their work due to the huge demand that they have received from the militant. Chief engineer said that the development activities have been badly affected.(SP News)
