Shillong, 31 August: In view of the public bandh called by the various NGOs including KSU, FKJGP, HNYF, GSU, JSU, CSWO, KWWADA, ADE, RBYF, etc in relation to implementation of Inner Line Permit in the State , the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills, Shillong has promulgated section 144 CrPC prohibiting carrying of arms, weapons or any material(s) which may be used to cause grievous harm, injury or damage or lost of human life, public and private property, sale of petrol/diesel or any other inflamable materials in loose jericans, jars, bottles .etc to any person(s) by any Petrol Pump or Refilling Station or private individuals dealing with the sale or storage of the same within the District. This order shall come into force with immediate effect.(SP News)
