Shillong, July 24: An exhibition cum sales counter of NCERT publications organised by the North east regional Institute of education (NERIE), National council of education research and training (NCERT) was inaugurated by the MPCC president DD Lapang at its premises on Wednesday.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest Lapang lauded the NCERT for having enriched the knowledge of the students in the country with good text books.
“It is very necessary that students should read good books,” he said.
Stating that education is a must and that it should be strengthen, Lapang informed that The government of India has made education as the first priority.
He also said that it is through education that one gets to know life in a better way adding that education helps in building mankind.
“Education is a fundamental foundation for building up new generation with better quality of mankind,” Lapang asserted.(SP News)
