SHILLONG, May 20: Four coal labourers were gunned down by suspected Garo Hills based militant group at Nongalbibra area under South Garo Hills district on Monday.
According to police sources it was informed that the four slain labourers are yet to be identified but all the four hailed from the neighboring state Assam
“They were working as labourers at Daramdura coal mine, a mine owned by one A Sangma,” Police said.
Police however have taken the body for post mortem examination.
However, on being asked, which militant outfit could have led to the killing, police said that they are yet to be identified and they are investigating into the matter.(SP News)
