Shillong, Dec 07: In a sad incident where five coal mine labourers were crushed to death when the iron steel box of a crane towing coal from the depth of 200 meter when the iron rope slipped and fall at the labourers.
The five labouers were identified as Harkeshwar Boro, Balen Bharali, Buhu Boro, Takendwar Kumar,and Kanta Boro were crushed to death inside a coal quarry at Briwar Rasong under Saipung Police station of the East Jiantia Hills District.
The police has taken up the matter and all necessary formalities were taken and the police have also conducted inquiry on the incident said the police.(SP News)
