Shillong,Feb 20: Five persons sustained injuries in accident that took place in and around the state yesterday.
In one of the incident A motorist sustained injuries after falling off from the scooter after it skidded on the main road near St. Edmunds School, Shillong. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Laitumkhrah helped in shifting Rahul Pun (20years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In another incident two persons identified as Rosanna Nongbet (20years/male) and Lambor Mawlein (26years/male)Sustained injuries when a maruti 800 (local taxi) skidded off the road and roll down the side at lower lumparing. The injured was later shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital for further medical treatment.
One Charles Siangshai (34years/male) sustained injuries when a Maruti 800 boarded by him over turned after it went off road.It was learnt that the maruti was travelling towards Shillong from Jowai when the incident happend.Meanwhile, the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Mawryngkneng helped in shifting the driver of the vehicle to Shillong Civil Hospital.
In yet another road traffic accident an autorickshaw heading towards Nongjri, under Umsning Block, Ri Bhoi District fell into a drain just before reaching its destination. The incident occurred on February 18 at 9:23 P.M. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Umsning helped in shifting the driver of the vehicle Julisstar June Dohtdong (21years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.(SP News)
