Shillong, March 12: One Korti Lyngdoh Nonglait was arrested by the Meghalaya Police for making his eleven year old son drove a boulder laden jeep.
Police Sources informed that traffic personnel spotted the minor driving the boulder laden jeep along with his younger brother and intercepted the vehicle at Sanker junction in Mawroh.
Meanwhile, Additional Superintendent of Police (Traffic) East Khasi Hills, Stephen A Rynjah, informed that the vehicle was driven by an 11 year old boy without any adult supervision and police detained the vehicle (ML 05 D 6745).
Questioning the district transport department Rynjah said, “On further enquiry police found that Korti Lyngdoh Nonglait father of the minor had neither the driving license nor the documents of the vehicle.
Police therefore took Nonglait into custody for allowing his 11 year old son drive a boulder laden jeep compromising the safety of others and theirs aswell.(SP News)
