Shillong, may 21: The Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya in collaboration with the Sahaki Society is organizing the Creative Arts, Literature and Music Festival 2014 started today and they will conclude these on the 24th of this month at the State Central Library Campus, Shillong.
The Programme aims at creating awareness and expose the Youth to the world of creativity and artistic expression which includes class artist paths, the fine arts, such as literature, music, drama and other performing arts along with the traditional crafts.
The CALM Fest, 2014 fosters objectives of creative thinking, sensitizing the youth on social issues, promote nation building, social and creative consciousness.
The CALM festival includes Book Launches, Documentaries, Panel Discussions, Workshops, In Conversation, Readings, Calm Confluence, Country Music, Comedy evening and Blues Music, the Express Yourself Stage and Children’s Creativity area.(SP News)
