Shillong, Jan 23: Meghalaya Youth Foundation in collaboration with Mission Trust, Bawri Netharalaya, Shillong and the NSS Unit of Holy Child Higher Secondary School, Demthring conducted a “Free Eye Check-Up Camp” at Mawkynrew village, East Khasi Hills District.
Altogether, 120 people from Mawkynrew village, Mawlein Village, Wah Lyngdoh Village and New Nongryngkoh Village attended the free eye check up camp and benefitted out of it. Out of which, some beneficiaries were given free spectacles, some were referred for further Free Eye Medical assistance and some were even referred for Free Eye Surgery.
Those present at the Camp included the Chairman of the Meghalaya Youth Foundation, Joannes JTL Lamare, MYF Members and NSS volunteers, Programme Officer of Holy Child School; Doctors and attendants of Bawri Nethralaya who had been assisting the MYF in conducting Camps all over the region; The Sordar and Members of the Dorbar Shnong; besides others.(SP News)
