Free medical camp organized by the BSF at the boarder

Medical camp organized by the BSFShillong, April 18: On 17th April 2013, a free medical camp was organized at village Umiyam on Indo- Bangladesh border in the AOR of 108 Bn BSF deployed in East Khasi Hills distt of Meghalaya.

The basic aim of the medical camp is for the benefit of under privileged people of border areas. Total 400 civilians i.e. male, female and children from the border villages were examined and given medicine in the camp by BSF doctors. An interaction on health, sanitation, family planning and HIV was also conducted for creating awareness amongst the villagers.

Border Security is not only guarding the borders of our Country but also putting efforts to make the life of Border population comfortable happier, healthy and disease free. In the past also BSF has been conducting various medical camps for the border population.(SP News)
