Garo Bangladeshi nabbed By BSF

Shillong April 18: On 17th April 2013, on specific intelligence input, special patrolling party of BOP Baghmara, ex-36 Bn BSF deployed in South Garo Hills district apprehended four Bangladeshi illegal immigrants namely Santosh Sangma aged 35 yrs, s/o Late Safiet Kokisi Sangma, Sandeep Sangma aged 40 yrs, s/o Late M M Sangma, Bulli Marak aged 42 yrs, s/o Late Sunil T Sangma, Bimal R Marak aged 30 yrs, s/o Andranson Marak, all r/o Vill- Aropara, Ps-Durgapur, Distt- Netrakona (Bangladesh) near BP No-1151/4-S, while they were trying to infiltrate into India from Bangladesh.

Besides above, BSF troops of Meghalaya Ftr, also seized  one Truck, one Motorcycle, 370 Nos Yaba tablet, 32 Kg Hemp, 197 btls Liquor, 5 nos Cattle, 6 Nos Boat and other contraband items of the estimated cost of Rs. 21,45,000 (Rupees Twenty one  lacs  Forty-five Thousand only) during the last week.

Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned departments for further disposal and legal action as per law of land.(SP News)
