Tura, Dec 11: Swat from Nangalbibra, South Garo Hills on operation was ambushed by suspected GNLA militants at around 11:30 am this morning.
The incident took place at Dobakkol, Nagadipo area in the South Garo Hills distrcit of Meghalaya.
One Battalion constable Donboklang Jana was injured in the incident. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Williamnagar. Later he is likely to be airlift to Guwahati for treatment.
In a separate incident the suspected GNLA militant lobed hand grenade at the MPRO office at Darechekgni in Tura in the incident the office of the MPRO was partially damage.(SP News)
