Government must stop turning a deaf ear and start listening to the public :ANVC(B)

Shillong, Dec 04: The Publicity Secretary of the  ANVC(B) Doang D Shira in the press issued to day said that the ANVC(B)  is targeted by everyone, which makes us unique and fair in the  entire state scenario. Sohan and Norok are captains of the sinking ship but they fairly get a good share of attention. They are creation of some “big-wings”. Norok”s last press release where he accused ANVC(B) for the disappearance of ANVC cadres from  the youth hostel confirms the internal arrangements.

The ANVC(B) alleged that  Norok was a mole in ANVC.B, its good that he is gone. ANVC(B) was turned into killers by Government’s irresponsive nature which is eminent in the present day with the ILP  groups going wild to get some respond in   the demand  for ILP implementation in the State.

Shira  said that “To us, it is clear that Government respond promptly to organsations with “kill” agenda than the democratic groups. Pro ILP rally in Shillong pulled huge crowd yet remained un-responded which proves that: Meghalaya has lost  the spirit of Democracy and People oriented Good Governance, as the voice of the mass is unheard”.

An organization with “kill” agenda gets more attention in the State  than those with genuine issues, which in a way triggered the rise of violence and many splinter groups  in the State. Desperation and stubborn attitude of the Government is turning Meghalaya into a battlefield, It is eminent were two lives were lost in the  pro ILP agitation and more could Follow if Government ignores the rising demand of the tribal population. Government must stop turning a deaf ear and start listening to the public, it will be more sensible.

The ANVC(B) put a  question why can’t Government  listen to the public when they can listen to GNLA and UALA Couple of years  ago when GNLA demanded the Government to dig the ANVC  Camps for bodies which GNLA claimed were buried in the camps. Government responded instantly hurting the sentiments of the ANVC cadres and found no bodies. GNLA marked that day as triumph over the Government and since, continue to turn leaves within the Government without  any hustle. Now Norok is following the same some track as Sohan is weaken and cornered.

The ANVC(B) is  not concerned about Norok and SOhan bad they are  concerned about the attitude of the  leaders that could turn many like them UALA and GNLA  are two sides of one coin having the same coin  of origin, Their agenda is to kill, unleashing a reign of terror and make easy money. They have no strength yet Government respond to them Chief Minister  must listen and find a remedy  instead  of ignoring the demands of agitating groups. The ANVC.(B) alleged that the  Government is not focusing on the backbone of GNLA and UALA UAU.

The situation   in Garo Hills is so volatiles because government stoops to the militant demands more and responds to the band organization which have left the youth more demoralized and fueled up the rise of more aggressive in Garo Hills. The ANVC(B) said that they have understood on organization with “Kill” agenda get government attention to their demand which is in a way pushing the youth of present society  from the main stream. The ANVC(B) appeal to the government to be people oriented  and protect the interest of the locals.  Said Mr Doang D Shira Publicity Secretary ANVC(B) in the press statement.(SP News)
