Shillong, Oct, 10:What ever claims made by the Government of Meghalaya for the development of trade road for export to Bangladesh is left un attended since the road condition to Tamabil is in bad shape.
Recently the War jaintia lime stone & bolder stone exporter association has to repair the road by themselves from Lad Jamari to Mutakpur because the road condition is so bad which is difficult for transporter to ply their vehicles on this road.
The association blame the Public Work Department for not doing any repair work on this export routh.The organization fill that the state government is not being to improve the road condition in the area.
Dawki is one of the major land custom station in the North East which export to the neighboring country, Bangladesh which the central government earns foreign exchange and the state government earns royalty and cess from the export of coal , lime stone and bolder to Bangladesh.(SP News)
