Government should take it back the PHC at Wahkaji from UCIL

 

Nongstoin, June 07: The public of the Wahkaji area has asked the state government to take it back the Public Health Centre (PHC) from the Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL ) since the company has not  provide any doctors in the centre.

The demand from the people of that area that the state government should take it back from the UCIL because they are facing hardship in obtaining Birth certificate for their Children, since the UCIL was no authorized to issued the certificate.

Mr  H Sangriang one of the prominent resident of that area said that the state government  should take back from the UCIL the Wahkaji PHC since the company could not provide any doctors in the centre. The residence of that area fine it difficult in get birth certificate due to the absent of Government doctors.

Base on the request of the people from that area the Health Department government of Meghalaya has asked the UCIL to hand it back to the department so that the government could resumed back the PHC for the benefit of the people of the area.(SP News)
