Government stick to it gun not to implement ILP in the state

Shillong, Sept 05:  The Chief Minister of Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma make ample clear that  the government is not in favor of implementing Inner Line Permit in the state of Meghalaya in the meeting of the all party meeting held today at the main secretariat.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that the recommendation of the High Level Committee itself is put the boll to the central government which no one know how long it will take, he also said that the HLC recommendation is not viable since it has lot of  ramification.

The Political parties who attended the all party meeting are the KHNAM, MDP, NCP, NPP, UDP, Congress, HSPDP and the GNC.  All the political party want to know about the status of the HLC, in which the chief minister said that the recommendation it self needs a lot of ramification.

The Working President of the KHNAM and the Vice president of the HSPDP make it clear that their party stand is they want ILP to be implemented in the state this is tha only option to arrest influx.

The president if the GNC Clifford Marak anticipating that the chief minister will not accept the implementation of ILP, he walk out from the Meeting, Others political party like NPP and UDP want ILP should be implemented but the NCP and the MDP want more time to study the prose and corn of the impact if ILP is implemented in the state.

After hearing what the political party want to say on this important issued the Chief minister said that even United state of America and United Kingdom realized that to tackle the influx and immigration is only strong tenancy Laws

The Chief minister assure the political parties that the  Tenancy Act that the government want to implement will be completing with thin these month and by the first week of October the process of consultation will begin. (SP News)
