Shillong, July 13: The government of Meghalaya is struggling hard to take over the Meghalaya House at Russel Street Kolkatta. The General Administration Department is working overtime to see that they get found for payment to the Asian Housing Corporation Limited by the month of September.
Sources told SP News Agency that the GAD Minister Mr HDR Lyngdoh is personally supervising file work so that everything will fall in place as need. Sources said that the Kolkatta Municipal Corporation will give the necessary clearance for sewerage by Tuesday next week.
The GAD Department has given an assurance to the AHCL that they will clear all the dues that is still pending for the constriction of the Meghalaya House by the second quarter of his financial year which is due on the month of September.
The Meghalaya House Kolkatta has face many hurdler in the course of it’s construction, which let to the escalation of the construction cost from Rs.22 Core to Rs 50 cores which compel the state government to sep up an independent High Level Committee to scrutinized the expenditure incurred in the construction before the government clear the Bill.
The Meghalaya House in Russel Street Kalkatta, has two section the residential complex and the from side is the commercial complex. From the calculation that the GAD has the government of Meghalaya will earn between Rs 20 to Rs 25 Lack per month from the stall that they will give on rent.(SP News)
