Shillong, Sept 16: The Hynniewtrep Achick National Movement (HANM) of the West KhasiHills District today announce the second step of agitation by calling office picketing in the West Khasi Hills District on the 23th and 23th of this month to put pressure on the government to remove the Deputy Commissioner from the District.
The chief organizer of the organization Paul Kharbani alleged that the Deputy Commissioner today has impose section 144 CrPC to protect himself not the public because the imposition of 144 CrPC is in and around the DC office only.
Paul said that the organization takes up their agitation in a peaceful way as per the constitutional provision of the Constitution but the Deputy Commissioner stop the agitation.
With the attitude of the government who try to curb the peaceful administration, the organization has no alternative but to call for the office picketing on the 23th and 24 of this month in the west Khasi Hills District to put pressure on the government to remove the DC from the District.(SP News)
