Shillong, Sept 10: The Hynniewtrep Achick National Movement (HANM) of West Khasi Hills tomorrow will call for the executive committee of the organization to decide the course of agitation since the government is not willing to remove the Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills from the District.
The President of the organization Mr Paul said that the organization has already submitted a memorandum to the government earlier demanding the removal of the Deputy Commissioner. Since the government is not taking any action, they will call for the agitation to make the government hurt about their demand.
The President of the HANM of the West Khasi Hills District said that today they want to meet the Chief Secretary to get the government stand on their demand but the chief secretary was not available in the office chamber. When they inquired about their memorandum they found that government has not process with the file.
Since the government is not paying any heat to their demand they have no option but to call for the agitation and let the government hear about the grievances of the people of the West Khasi Hills District. Mr Paul said that the government compel them to go for agitation since the chief secretary is not willing to meet them when they seek for an appointment.(SP News)
