Shillong, Sept 14: In a bizarre case of dispute between business partners, one Hari Sarkar, resident of Borsora Bazaar, South West Khasi Hills District had filed a court case against one Dilbag Nashier and Bablu R Marak, a policeman in-charge of Borsora Police Outpost for demanding money amounting to Rs 15 lakhs in a fraudulent manner.

Explaining to newsmen at a press conference held here today at the Shillong Press Club Hari Sarkar said that he was betrayed by Dilbag Nashier in April 2012 unknowingly after he entered into a business agreement with him in setting up mechanical workshop.

Sarkar’s lawyer PK Bora said that surprisingly on 11th of this month the initial compliant went missing from the office of the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) MS Sangma, Mawkyrwat.

It is understood that Nashier had taken a lathe machine for repair along with Rs 70,000 as cost for repair to Guwahati and returned without the machine but demanded instead “Rs 15 lacs as share of partnership” and a “fradudulant” legal notice was issued from Guwahati claiming his share which never existed since the agreement according to Sarkar was never signed.

According to the complaint filed at the court Sarkar said that on the 4th of August this year Nashier and Bablu along with a group of people ‘carrying lethal weapons’ beat him up while demanding ‘Rs 15 lacs’ as well as all the cash that Sarkar had with him at that time and ‘force him to sign an illegal document purported to be some sort of undertaking to pay Rs 15 lacs’ to Nashier.
