Horticulture in Meghalaya is in the decline

Shillong, December 20:  The formers who participate in the Orange Festival held today at Polo ground show their dissatisfaction with the way how the Agriculture department is functioning in the distribution of pesticide for the orange growers.

Most of the participant in the festival is from Bholahanj Block. Talking to SP News Agency they said that the government is not taking care for the orange growers of the Sohra area. The pesticide that they were given are only thus people who get the sibling from the Horticulture or agriculture departmKinongrep soh niamtra ha ka iew ha Poloent.

As the traditional grower of organs they find it difficult to sustain since the partiality   adopted by the government in giving pesticide. At present the Growing of Oranges  in the area is on the decline.(SP News)
