Nongpoh, May 08: The Deputy Commissioner of Ri Bhoi District Mr Akash Deep said that he is yet to get the report from the Block Development officer (BDO) of Jirang C&RD block on the actual damage cause by the cyclone in that area.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the actual report will be known by tomorrow when he received the Report. He also said that relief material is distributed to cyclone victims where ever is required.
When asked about the damage Mr Deep said that he do not want to put thing in speculation only when the report come then he will be able to comment on the damage and the actual numbers of houses.
The Local MLA of the area Mr Lamboklang Mylliem said that the damage houses will be less than hundred. The most affected village is only Umrit. From his side he has sent people access the damage that has occurred due cyclone.(SP News)
