Shillong, January 07: The sitting Congress MLA from Umroi constituency Mr Stanliwiss Rymbai who lost the party ticket today announced that he will contest in the coming election as an Independent Candidate.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone he said “ I lost the ticket because he does not have money” . The Legislator who won twice form the same area people has the ticket not the party, if the people did not elect anyone can become MLA the party ticket will be meaningless.
He also mention that the president of the MPCC in one of the party meeting in west Khasi Hills said that cores of rupees offer for party ticket, this what has appear in the press.(SP News)
