Shillong November 22: Following the suspension of Ardent Basaiawmoit a Nongkrem Legislator by the UDP party, the legislator came up with a clarifying statement stating his stand. The legislator said that it is not at all against the party.
Clarifying his stand at a press conference here on Thursday Basaiawmoit said that the party should send him a letter if they have anything against him and they should not just write in the newspaper. Basaiawmoit said that the party’s decision in expelling from party is just that he is against the party decision in including a legislator which is not a tribal member in the party.
He also informed that until and unless the party withdraw the candidature of the candidate whom the nongkrem legislator do not prefer he will not be applied for the candidature ticket. (SP News)
