Guwahahti, may 16: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who had never believe on Modi wave during the election season, today admitted that Modi wave had worked in the country and in Assam. Following the election result trends in the very first half on the day, Tarun Gogoi, said that he is ready to resign taking morale responsibility of the debacle of the congress in the 2014 LS election.
However he said that it is not that today itself he will resign. ” I am not running away from the battle field, and now since the party is having a bad time i will not immediately resign”.
Gogoi,who had stick to his own prediction of getting more that 10 seats said that party had failed to read the pulse of the under current.” we did so many good works and never thought that people were not satisfied”. He added that this LS result will not impact the forth coming assembly polls in 2016.
Out of 14 LS seats the BJP had won seven seats and congress were
confined to only three seats and leaving three seats for the AIUDF and one for an Independent.The congress has lost four seats and the BJP has gained three seats.(SP News)
