Shillong, Sept 20: The President of the Garo National Council (NGC) Cliford R Marak said that he will take up the issue if the Advocate General of the state in the coming assembly session next month.
Speaking to media person at Shillong Club, the GNC president question the roll of the Advocate General K S Kynjing at what capacity did he involve himself in the PIL against Dr Mukul Sangma filed by Tennydard M. Marak at the Meghalaya High Court.
The MLA from Chokpot said that the Advocate General cannot appear in the court for an individual, he will only appear in any court of law on behalf of the government.
Mr Clifford said that he will take up the issue in the coming assembly session to get the clarity on the issued at what capacity the Advocate General appear in the PIL case against Dr Mukul Sangma at the Meghalaya High Court. (SP News)
