Shillong, July 06: Before leaving Raj Bhavan the outgoing Governor of Meghalaya RS Mooshahary while interacting with the media he admit that “ if an opportunity open I was ready to contest election” .
While referring to the boundary dispute between Meghalaya and Assam, he said “I am ready to act as a mediator between the two states if the two governments asked me to do so” He said many meeting was held between the two Chief Minister and Chief Secretaries to discuss the problems.
As the governor of the state he was not happy with the low and order in Garo Hills, thought law and order in Khasi Hills is peaceful. About the development activities the outgoing governor said that fund is not a problem but the implantation part is not satisfactory.
He was very much concern about the rise in rape case in Meghalaya, but most of the case rape is committed by relative. The Government alone cannot check these, it is the society should act, the civil society should come forwards to help the police in tackling the issue.
The outgoing governor also reveal his feeling that, “ In this five years of my staying hear I have completely feel at home, in my young days I have study hear” .
Talking about the CMJ University he said “ my concern is about the fake degree PhD Degree, which he come to know from newspaper. About the profit that private university made he said is their duty to earn they are not running charitably.
When asked about the government outgoing governor said that the state should govern is such away that will not allowed people to do wrong, but it should allowed people to do right.(SP News)
