Illegal migrant from Bangladesh nabbed by the BSF

Shillong, January 15: On 14th Jan’ 2012, at about 1050 hrs, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Baghmara Ex-36 Bn, deployed in South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended 07 Bangladeshi illegal immigrants while they were trying to infiltrate from Bangladesh to India near BP No. 1151/3-S.

Memebers of GNLA arrested by the BSFThe arrested person are, Md Hasin Abdul Gani, Umar Khan,Md Amiruddin, Md Alimas, Habibur Rahman, Md Abdul Barik, Urj Marak, Surang Marak,Bikash Sangma, Sam Marak, Md Fojul Haqu. During preliminary questioning, apprehended Bangladeshi illegal immigrants revealed that they intended to go to Nangalbibra coal mines area in district South Garo Hills, to work as labourers.

All the apprehended persons along with seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
