Shillong, August 09: The MP of Lok Sabha from the Shillong Parliamentary Seat Mr Vincent H Pala said that in the Congress party who want to contest election are free to apply for the ticket.
Speaking to SP News Agency , Pala said that he has seen in the media about the speculation about the Congress Ticket from Shillong East. “ I want to say that the congress ticket dose not belong to any body but it belong to the party and the party has every right to decide to who to give the ticket in the election”. Added Mr Pala.
In the democratic party like the Congress, any congress workers who want to contest the election they area allowed to apply for the ticket there is no bar on that, when the party call for application any one want to contest election they are free to apply.
What ever speculation that are in the media Mr Pala said that he will not comment anything because the ticket dose not belong to him. The Congress Party is not like BSP or RJD who give the ticket one year ahead.
When the party call for application any one who want to contest the election they can apply and up to the party to decide to whom they will allot the ticket, said Mr Pala.(SP News)
