Industrialization is needed to solve the unemployment: Shibun

 

Shillong, March 22: The BJP candidate, Shibun Lyngdoh who also filed his nomination on Friday said that he decided to contest the Lok Sabha polls since he was disillusioned with the kind of political system existing in the country.

“Politics is now mired in corruption have been to the BJP ruled state of Gujarat and have seen the kind of development there and even the manifesto of the BJP mention the need to root out corruption,” Lyngdoh said.

Asked if he will win the upcoming polls, Lyngdoh said that the chant of the BJP is “Mission BJP 272 +” and he will be the 273rd candidate.

Lyngdoh, who hails from Jaintia Hills region also said that he was aware of the environmental destruction due to the presence of cement companies and unscientific mining.

Lyngdoh said that industrialisation was needed to solve the unemployment problem of the state.

“But there is a need to place to preserve the environment and our identity also,” Lyngdoh said.(SP News)
