Shillong December 07: The Inquiry commission headed by the retired chief justice Rajkhowa has the final sitting today to complete the inquiry how full Moon Dhar escape from Shillong District Jail on 31th May 2009. The commission will submit the report to the state government on 11th January 2013.
Agnes Kharshing who pursue with the commission is facing row from police. She had filed Right to Information (RTI) seeking information in a fake encounter happened in the year 2009. Her action has shaken the police department.
The story behind that led to the setup of the inquiry commission is that on 13th September 2008, two women’s throats were slit at Mawpdang which let to the arrest of , Fullmoon Dhar. But on 31st May, he escape from Shillong District Jail which let to the infamous encounter where fullmoon die.(SP News)
