Shillong, December 14: The Inter-Media Publicity Coordination Committee meeting (IMPCC) was held today at the conference hall of the All India Radio which was chaired by Dr. Engam Pamei, Chairman, IMPCC, Meghalaya Chapter and attended by Central Media Units officials like DFP, PIB, AIR, DDK and DAVP to discuss the publicity activities carried out during the month.
The publicity programmes carried out were on World AIDS Day, Rural Development, National Day of Mentally Challenged, Flagship Programmes, Human Rights, Role of Youth and Generating Employment, Development of Power Sector in NE, World Disabled Day, Development of NE Handicrafts & Handlooms and NRHM.
During the month the Central Media Units organised the Public Information Campaign on Bharat Nirman programmes of the Central government at Jowai. The theme on “Voters Awareness” was adopted for the month of January 2013.(SP News)
