Shillong, June 26: Today an Awareness Programme observing the ‘International Day against Drugs abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ was held at Khasi National Durbar Hall, Mawkhar, Shillong organized by Voluntary Health Association of Meghalaya with various Stake Holders where Superintendent of Police(City), Shillong also delivered a speech on ill effects of drug abuse on health and society.
A rally was also organised at Mawlai Nonglum near Thangkhiew Petrol Pump in observance of the above programme where students of various schools also took part in the said programme. The rally was flaged off by Shri Vivek Syiem, MPS, Superintendent of Police(City), Shillong.(SP News)
