Shillong, Sept 05: To intensified their agitation JACATAM today announced state wide strike starting from 11 to 13 of this month to put pressure on the government to grant their demand.
The Chairman of the JACATAM Mr ED Nongsaing in his address to the members at Madan Malki Ground said that till the government call for their dialogue to discuss their grievances they will continue with their agitation.
He also asked all the members to meet their respective MLA and MDC to demand from them to talk with them about their problem. MLA are elected to look for the problems and hardship of the people.
He also said that the JACATAM assure all members that if any governing body take action to teachers participating in the JACATAM agitation the organization will take full responsibility for them.
Many speakers who take part in the rally demand that the Education Minister Dr RC Laloo should step down. If the government fail to call for the dialogue they will intensified their agitation till their demand are met.(SP News)
