Shillong September 01: The Joint Action Committee of All Teachers’ Associations of Meghalaya (JACATAM) has decided to hold their public rally at Mawlki gound on the 5th of this month which coincide with the Teachers day celebration.
The Chairman of the JACATCM Mr ED Nongsiang said that they saw the call from the government only through the press no official wards was sent from the government and they will not accept what the government said.
As a mark of protest on the adamant attitude of the state government on the issue related to the teachers community in the state they will not participate on any official function that will be organized by the government on the Teachers day celebration.
The issue raided by the JACATCM demanding from the state Government for implementation provincialization of services of the teachers, uniformity in salary and others related issue. At the same time the Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers’ Association (MUPSTA) has support the agitation of the JACATCM.(SP News)
