Shillong, August 28: The Meghalaya police from the special cell today arrested the Joint Director, Mechanical directorate of Agriculture for taking bribe. The police caught him red handed.
The police today lays trap on Ropsil Lamare Joint Director, Mechanical, directorate of agriculture for demanding cash Rs 5000/- per power tiller supplied by M/s Horizon Marketing Tura and today asked one lakh and another Rs.2 lakh to be paid on the nest Monday.
The police who lay a trap cought him red handed while taking the one lakh. Lamare was arrested under Prevention corruption act 1988.(SP News)
