Shillong, June 27: It will be a day to be remembered in the history of the Meghalaya Judo Association as in its untireless initiative it had been able to open a Judo training hall of the Shilliang Umkhen spiritual club.
The newly open Judo training Hall was inaugurated by the local MLA David Nongrum who is also the chairman of the Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation.
Speaking at the occasion Nongrum encouraged the club to pursue in encouraging the people of the village and its nearby areas to take up martial arts.
Besides, he also encourage boys and girls from the village to come forward and take up such sports as it enable them to know the tactics of self defence.(SP News)
