Shillong, October 1: To discuss the current situation that has disturbed peace and tranquility of the state in the process of demanding the implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) by the 10 NGO’s, the Grand Council of Chiefs of Meghalaya (comprising of Ka Dorbar Ki Khlieh Nongsynshar, Federation of Khasi State, Dolloiship, Sirdarship) will meet tomorrow at 12 PM in the office of John F Kharshiing, at Lumjingsuk, Demthring, Shillong.
In the meeting the chiefs will also discuss the letter from Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, No. D.O. No. 9./10/2012 dated 18 July 2012, addressed to Chief Secretary, Meghalaya, the KHADC village Administration Bill 2013, the need for a KHADC clan Bill (Dorbar Kur or Seng Kur). (SP News)
