Shillong, May 24: Mr Bikas Kumar has lodged a complaint at Saipung police station stated that on the 22 of this month at around 8 pm, unidentified miscreants kidnapped his father his father Shri Chandra Bhushan Singh 45 yrs.
On the next day the 23 around 5 am, he received a telephone call in which the caller demanded a ransom of Rs. 15 lakh (Rupees Fifteen lakh) only, for the release of the kidnapped victim. Matter is under enquiry.
Regarding missing report of Shri Teibor Kharbteng (38 yrs), on May 24, the decomposed dead body of the missing person was recovered from Upper Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed and the cadaver sent to civil hospital, Shillong for postmortem examination. Matter is under investigation.
Sr. Mary Paul, Administrator, Nazareth Hospital, Shillong lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah police station that one of the doctor of the hospital viz., Dr. Col. (Retd) A.A Siddiqui, who had resigned in the year 2010, had recently published a book title �Trumpets from the Deep�, published by Power Publishers Swabhumir of Kolkata (WB), by stealing the official record of the hospital and also made defamatory publication against the Hospital Administration.(SP News)
