Shillong, April 08: The President of the Mahila Congress Committee of Meghalaya Kong Dada War said that Kong Wansuk Syiem deserved to be MP Rajya Sabha since she has been in the party for long long time.
Speaking to SP News Agency Kong War said that Kong Wansuk has stood by the party at all time weather the prty is in power or out of power. She has been growing gradually in the party from one post to the others and she is the only party worker which has not deserted the party.
As the womens wing from the Mahila Congress they are proud of her to be the candidate for the Bye-Election to the Rajya Sabha that will be held on the 18 of this month. The president of the AICC Smti Sonia Gandhi has endrose her name.
Kong wansuk has file her nomination today in the Assembly Secretariat, and she will be elected un opposed since the main opposition party in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly the Meghalaya People Front has deicide not to contest the election.(SP News)
