Shillong Dec 5: Following the dysfunctional of the KSU Dienglieng Circle, the KSU Eastern Central Khasi Hills at its executive committee held recently has decided to dissolve the Circle in response to the adamant attitude of leaders of the Dienglieng circle in resolving the in-house clashes besides other abnormal functionalities within the circle.
This came up after receiving several complaints from fellow members of various units under Dienglieng Circle with regards to lack of responsibility of the leaders of the circle.
KSU Eastern Central Khasi Hills president Wanlambok Kharsati while informing reporters here on Wednesday said that prior to this decision; we had directed the leaders of the circle to hold a meeting last month to solve all the problems which had erupted within the circle and also to elect new members to the circle. We had even issued a deadline which was November 20, however, the failure of the said leaders failed to take any initiatives on their part had compelled us to take this step.
Meanwhile, Kharsati also informed that the KSU Eastern Central Khasi Hills has also decided to form a caretaker body for the time being which will be headed by Egenstar Kurkalang as the caretaker president and Michael Lawai as the caretaker secretary for resolving the problems until a new body is elected on January next year.(SP News)
