Shillong Nov 15:The students of Mass Media Department of St Anthony’s College in their effort to make people understand on the importance of the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) Smart card, a street play was organised at the college campus on Thursday.
The play focuses on how the people especially those coming lower economic background should avail the RSBY smart card provided by the central government which aim at helping those people living below poverty line where they can use the card when they decide to get the desired health care facilities and others.
During the paly the students also tried to make people understand that in most cases those coming from lower background were often ignored of lack of resources. However, on the other hand Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India launched the RSBY to provide health insurance coverage for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families. The objective of RSBY is to provide protection to BPL households from financial liabilities arising out of health shocks that involve hospitalization.(SP News)
