Shillong, May 22: People of Meghalaya will get to experience the thrill of driving through difficult terrain as Mahindra Great escape 4×4 off-roading challenge will be held at Umiam Lake Resort on May 25.
For those who love to drive the event will bring in opportunity of bumpy, muddy, rocky trail may be a driving nightmare for some people but for few the rougher the road the better it gets.
The 101th edition of the MGE will be held in the state with 4 wheel drive (WD) vehicles manoeuvring the challenging obstacle full trail. Registration for participation can be done online through or at the venue before the event with Rs,3000 as the registration fees.
Informing about the event, winner of Indian National Rally Champion (INRC) and also the secretary of Indian Motor Sports Club (IMSC) Ashwin Naik, said, “ Jeep culture is very much prevalent in the state and this event will provide a shot to the local populace to make it to the national arena and compete it with the winners of MGE held elsewhere in the country.”
He however said that this totally an offroad event and not a high speed race.
Vehicles that would be used during the event include Mahindra inculding Bolero, Scorpio etc. The challenge will include -the adventure drive which you can participate with your family or friends with four participants,and mahindra Challenge for the skillful drivers.(SP News)
